USEFUL INFORMATIONS

What is a modular water tank? What are the differences compared to classic welded tanks?

A modular water tank is a clean and hygienic tank designed to pass through the narrowest areas with all components manufactured and packaged modularly in the factory. The major difference between modular water tanks and welded tanks is that each component is replaceable and manufactured in integration without any damage during the transport to the installation site. It also allows water storage under hygienic conditions since welding and paint, etc. are not carried out at the installation site.

Can we place loads on the tank after the installation?

No, no load is allowed on the tank. It is designed to sustain only its own weight.

How should be the tank installation site?

A space that provides the necessary tank volume should be available in your site. The ground should be smooth. If the ground is uneven (i.e. inclined and rough), we offer concrete base and plastic base options.

It is possible to move modular storage tank to another site after the assembly? Does it allow capacity increase or decrease if desired?

Yes, it is. Since each component of our tanks is connected to each other by bolted construction, it is possible to disassemble/reassemble. In addition, the capacity can be changed during the disassembly/reassembly.

If our ground comprises of tiles, is it necessary to pour concrete?
If your ground is not inclined, there is no need to pour concrete. Thanks to plastic base option, the water tank can be installed in a hassle-free manner.
How to clean and maintain modular tanks periodically? Is it appropriate to clean with a chemical cleaning agent?
Chemical cleaning is not highly recommended for the cleaning operations of tanks. The most important thing to do is to open the bottom blowdown valve once in every 15 days and discharge some water. It is also necessary to ensure water circulation in the tank even when there is no water shortage. It is recommended to consume the water in the tank within certain time periods without holding the water in the tank for long periods because stagnant water will eventually produce microorganisms no matter how healthy a tank you use.
Will the tank installation cause any damage to any existing building?

No, the tank installation will be completed without any damage at the installation site, simply requiring some space in which a person can fit.

What are the alternative materials used for tanks? Which alternative material should we prefer?

It varies according to the nature of the liquid to be stored. GRP (Glass Reinforced Polyester), Stainless Steel Grades 304 & 316, galvanized and thermoplastic options are available. We also offer a specially coated Mek-Coat alternative. For example, if you need the tank only for consumption and irrigation, we recommend the galvanized or painted type. If potable water is to be used for storage, we recommend GRP and Mek-Coat.

Why the quality of liquid to be stored is important? Will well water or artesian water damage the tank?

The quality of liquid to be stored is the key factor for the material selection. If you notify our sales personnel about the qualities of water, they will find the optimum solution for you.

How do you install the tank? How do you achieve sealing? And which components and elements do tanks consist of?

Our modular tanks consist of floor, ceiling and side modules. Each component has the same structure within each other. Joining and assembly is achieved by placing gaskets and bolts between the modules and tightening them at the necessary torque. Sealing is ensured by gaskets in-between.

What are the considerations when receiving a proposal?

Simply notify our sales personnel about width, height and capacity. You also need to specify the intended use and qualities of water to be stored for material selection.

How the tank capacity is determined?
The capacity is determined according to the needs in the place where the tank will be installed. For example, the average daily use in an apartment varies from 250 liters to 500 liters. If a tank of 10 m3 in average is selected for potable and consumption water in a building with 20 apartments, the tank will meet one-day water needs in case of any water shortage.
